As we discussed in our previous article about working hours for Bachelors and Masters students in Canada, Today I am going to tell you the types of Job available for students who pay a decent wage. I had described the best paying jobs available for students in Canada, There are also many jobs available in Canada for students which I had not mentioned, but this does not mean that those jobs are bad or pay less, I just chose some of the best jobs which students can do easily.
On-campus Job
The college or university has many vacancies for those vacancies they hire people but here students get the first priority to join the vacancies in college or universities. Mostly it is seen that in college or university jobs like bookkeeping, librarian, hostel manager, etc are available for students. The hourly rate for On-campus jobs is usually between 8 to 10 CAD.
Waiter
Yes, the waiter is well paid in Canada compared to other jobs, Usually, the starting salary of the waiter is around 12 CAD to 14 CAD per hour. After working six months your salary could be raised up to 20 CAD/hour. Waiters also get tips from customers hence you can always have some extra money in your pocket.
In Canada there are so many restaurants hence, there are always vacancies for the waiter in restaurants.
Taxi Driver
Drivers earn a lot in Canada, the average taxi driver in Canada makes 25 to 45 CAD/hour. You can always join taxi companies like 'Uber' or 'Lyft' and can make above-average money. Taxi drivers working at Uber have full control over their time, they can do a job whenever they want. There is no compulsory pressure on Uber drivers to drive the taxi.
Whenever you feel free you can drive the taxi and whenever you won't leave you can take. But there are two requirements to be fulfilled to become a Uber taxi driver. One is to have an international driving licence or Canadian driving licence and second is that you must have a car to join Uber.
You can always rent a car and join the Uber. Like your weekly rents for the car would be around 100 to 200 CAD depending on the car model.
Writer
Students can earn a lot by writing articles. Some university also publishes their own magazine and students have the opportunity to write articles. Per article one can make 20 to 25 CAD even one can make up to 100 CAD per article.
You can also do freelancing writing works and push the wage limits. Freelancer writer earns 75 CAD to 100 CAD per article.
Food Delivery
Food delivery is as similar to taxi driving but here you don't need a car but a bicycle or motorcycle. Similar to taxi driving you are independent and free to chose working hours or time. Food delivery also pays a decent amount which is higher than regular jobs.
Food delivery person earns 25 to 30 CAD per hour and even more on special occasions or holidays.
Direct Selling
Direct selling is again one of the highest-paying jobs. Here you get a commission on per sale hence there are no limits on how much money you make. Here you have to sell products and services on which you get commissions.
The commission varies from product to product depends on types of services that you are selling. Normally commission per sale on products are from 25 to even 50 CAD and if one sells software services than they can make up to 200 CAD per sale. Here also you are independent to choose your working hours.

A machine operator in a factory: 10 to 14 CAD/hour
